Therapy
Navigating our world isn't always easy. At times, life circumstances can feel so overwhelming or persistent that we begin to lose hope or see ourselves as fundamentally broken. These experiences, as well as other difficulties, may feel all-consuming and solid, but they are more malleable than we imagine.
Therapy offers a space to approach these challenges with clarity, kindness, and courage; conditions that foster transformation. Instead of merely learning to cope, we explore how to connect with your deepest sense of being and learn new ways of relating to your experiences. Rediscovering this foundation within can not only help navigate life's challenges but also heal from them.
My approach combines Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, somatic practices, and contemplative wisdom, including nonduality and mindfulness. These modalities help you go beyond surface-level experiences like thoughts and beliefs to access inherent resources, which are often hidden by the brain's reactive patterns that are commonly referred to as "parts."
When you learn to recognize the different parts of your mind, you can begin to see the connection between your past experiences and the present; how the brain is always trying to keep you safe, but is often working a little too hard. Parts work is a doorway to cutting down on unnecessary shame, self-hate, and perpetual problem-solving, all of which tend to keep us stuck. It's your chance to see that you are more than your problems, and that you have an innate capacity to grow and change.
If this resonates with you, or if you have questions, I invite you to reach out and schedule a no-cost consultation.
